noun
the smoldering remains of a fire
slowly dying or fading emotions, memories, ideas, or responses, still capable of being revived
For many of us, life has felt like embers these last few years. The dreams, hopes, and certainties we all once held so confidently have been reduced nearly to ashes. In times like these, we ask very real and honest questions of God: “Lord, can You revive and restore what has been lost? Can You resurrect the fire that once burned so brightly within us? Can you fan into flame these embers of faith? So we pray a simple, but powerful prayer. "Come Holy Spirit. Fall afresh." We believe God hears and answers prayer. His presence is His promise. And in His presence, there is fresh wind and fresh fire.
This album means a lot to us. It’s more than new songs that we’ve been singing at our church. It symbolizes a resilient faith. A community rising from the ashes of isolation, division, and collective pain. It reveals a heart of worship that has been purified through trial and hardship, and it represents a people of defiant praise, who choose to say that our God is still good and His ways are still best, no matter what comes.
